Well, perhaps an Ashes series in Australia where they retain a possibility to secure the famous trophy after the first three Tests.

That will not be happening this time, though, after the hosts' dominant victory by 82 runs in Adelaide put the hosts with a 3-0 lead for the fourth consecutive series on Australian grounds.

England's famous supporters' group, England's supporters' group, have 3,000 fans traveling for the last two matches in New South Wales and Victoria.

There are also tour groups who will celebrate the holidays overseas, as well as relatives and companions embarking on a dream holiday.

The Ryding Siblings

A group of four supporters are four such fans.

The group had their travel arrangements and match passes secured for the Boxing Day and New Year Tests "12 months ago", hoping to witness a historic English victory.

From afar, they've seen Australia outplay the visitors in just 11 days from their house in the north of England.

"People in the office has been teasing me that the series is done for the last two weeks," said Sam.

"We always thought that we would have the series on the line upon our arrival."

Fading Positivity

Hope was abundant regarding the team's prospects of breaking a 15-year drought for a victory down under prior to the first ball.

However, the situation is now facing the prospect of extending their winless run in the country to 19 matches when the Boxing Day Test begins in the MCG on Christmas Day.

The tourists - and their supporters - will be hoping to sidestep a dreaded 5-0 scoreline.

Alex said the "excitement and fun" of head coach the aggressive 'Bazball' approach in recent years had "brought fresh energy to" the five-day game for England fans.

However, the group said they had low expectations for the remaining matches - and all they are asking for from the players is "a show of spirit".

"All analysts points it out, but it all hinges on psychological strength. 'The aggressive approach has been elevated to a term now that is just, like, unrealistic play," stated Rory Ryding.

"Over the course of five days, you should dig in. Wafting outside 'outside the line has not been part of the fundamentals, and that is mainly the fault the batting lineup."

The Remaining Matches

Asked whether he believed England will win a match in the current series, came the reply: "It looks like the Aussies are just too good currently."

"There is going to have to be several individuals that makes a significant contribution and produces a match-winning display."

Even with the series lost, the siblings are still excited about the trip.

"We will have a great time nonetheless," said Katie. "Our approach is that mindset."

"Of course, it's unfortunate we don't have more to play for, but we have invested a significant amount as it is."

"We will make the most of celebrating the holidays in Australia. Additionally, it's our first experience away from home over Christmas."

An educator, Katie is determined to make the most of the 21,000-mile round-trip as part of her Christmas holidays.

"If all else fails, I've got golf to rely on," she added.
