Three Shortlisted for Young Sports Personality Prize
Announced recently
Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
These three athletes have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a unprecedented innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The three contenders were announced live on a national radio breakfast show.
The 2025 recipient will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.
The show will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
Littler's Profile

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it inspires more girls to get into cricket."
